The Department of Public Expenditure are being gas on Twitter, so the good times must be back
GOOD NEWS! THE good times might be back.

How do we know this?
Because the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform has sent out multiple gas tweets today in honour of Budget day.
They hinted at some gas-ness a few days ago when they posted this photo of a half-empty box of assorted chocolates. (Roses mixed in with Celebrations.)
That was just the warm-up, though.
Today, they posted this photo of ties accompanied by a gas tie pun.
The person manning the account then playfully alluded to tonight’s soccer match between the Republic of Ireland and Germany and wrote, “Decisions, decisions…”
Ah lads, ye’re too gas.
And things just got unabashedly silly when they wrapped a tie around a statue of James Connolly and stated that he was “modelling”.
Our main takeaway from this?
Between this and Dublin’s brand new Nespresso store, it seems safe to say that we’re on the verge of some good times.
