A LARGE FISH tank in the middle of a Disney theme restaurant in Florida burst while diners were tucking into their dinner.
It sent a jet of water spewing out onto a nearby table, as employees of the T-Rex Cafe scrambled to save the fish.
There was a “big noise” as the tank broke – and some people were sitting directly below the burst seam at the time, witness Kate Wallace told the Orlando Sentinel. She was eating at the restaurant while on holiday with her family.
Several waiters climbed into the tank and began scooping up the fish, Michael Pappas posted on Facebook. He added:
It was chaos.
In a statement, the restaurant said a seal failed on the tank but all the fish have now been rescued.
Employees took action and did a great job rescuing all of the marine life, caring for our guests and managing the situation. The marine life has been moved to holding tanks.
