A SERIES OF animations from the youth website SpunOut.ie are urging people to be aware of negative thoughts and mental health.
The series, called Ditch The Monkey, has been created by Irish animator Eoin Duffy.
The episodes see the characters plagued by a small monkey before banishing the unwelcome thoughts and endeavouring to staying connected with the world around them.
The series also focuses on the benefits of contributing to society, good health and accepting yourself for who you are.
The ads were debuted in some cinemas last night, and the hashtag #DitchTheMonkey is currently trending on Twitter.
