The Downton Abbey cast have embraced that water bottle blooper

Let us ALL have water bottles.

THE PERIOD TV show Downton Abbey went unexpectedly viral earlier this week when eagle-eyed fans spotted a very modern-looking water bottle in the background of this publicity photo of Lady Edith and Robert Crawley.

Mildly embarrassing, but the cast are taking it well. They’ve decided to turn it around and use their now-viral blunder to raise awareness for the charity Water Aid - and intentionally posed with some water bottles.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for ITV has assured viewers that no plastic water bottles will be making an appearance on screen. PHEW. We were really quite worried.
