BOUTIQUE FRENCH MACARON maker Ladurée is opening its own shop in Dublin.
The new shop and tea room will take over the old Meet and Meat spot on Wicklow Street.
The French patissierie already operates in Brown Thomas, but the new shop will also operate a tea room including a menu of sweet and savoury dishes, according to the Irish Times.
So what can we expect?
For starters, the hot chocolate looks amazing
They also do a fierce-looking soup, if you’ve got less of a sweet tooth
It’s got some serious notions, it has to be said
These are described as “delicate chocolate bonbons carved as a precious stone sprinkled with a fine parkling powder and filled with a smooth caramelised ganache flavoured with passionfruit”.
They also bake delicious cookies
… and pastries
Of COURSE they do chocolates and bars of chocolate
The rose flavoured white chocolate bar is said to be particularly good.
But the real show is the macarons
Their macarons are renowned for being some of the best in the world, and come in more flavours than you’d know what to do with.
The likes of cognac, salted chocolate, vanilla pecan, lemon passionfruit, and rose flavours are available to stuff down your gut.
OR, you could just stare at them in all their beauty.
Giz.
You can also pick up some tea, books, fragrances, keyrings, champagne, and scented candle in the stores.
Macarons v macaroons, have you been embarrassing yourself this whole time?>
