EVERYONE IS RUSHING to find alternative ways to get to work during the bus strikes in Dublin.
The Luas will be packed, the DART will be packed, the roads will be packed, and taxis don’t want to know you. What’s left?
Maybe take a leaf out of creative agency In the Company of Huskies.
A few weeks ago, the company were given a chance to participate in a morning paddleboarding session with Big Style, an adventure company.
So, they took it upon themselves to use it for the morning commute
They began in Islandbridge, paddling all the way down the Liffey to their office near Dublin Port
In a blog post, employee Maeve Heslin wrote:
It was incredible to see Dublin from this new perspective, passing under bridges instead of strolling across them, gazing up at iconic buildings like the Custom House, and cheerily waving at bemused passers-by sleepily making their own way into work.
Looks like an absolutely idyllic way to beat the stress of the morning commute
Anyone got a spare paddleboard for the morning?
It’s not the first time the agency chose the Paddle to Work Scheme. They previously made a video of their maiden water commute back in 2o14.
