DUBLIN HAS BEEN named one of the most overrated places on earth… by someone who works at the Huffington Post.
Travel writer Suzy Strutner has taking against our fair city, calling it out on its most famous export:
We’re sorry Suzy, could you speak up? We couldn’t hear you over the traditional bagpipes.
You’ve obviously never had a Guinness in the Gravediggers or had an ice-cream at Teddy’s.
As if that’s not enough, she then takes issue with The Blarney Stone, describing it as:
Stratner takes issue with 25 popular tourists spots across the world, calling the Golden Gate Bridge “foggy” and “loud from the cars”.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is “not even leaning as much anymore” and Stonehenge is “just rocks”.
Strutner’s HuffPo bio states that:
She’s visited a handful of nations, but her favourites are in Central America because they have the cutest animals. Suzy loves chocolate chip cookies, speaking Spanish, and the way infant sloths wiggle while their fur’s being shaved.
Maybe if we had more sloths we would have fared better?
What do you think? Does she have a point? Or is this a terrible affront to our wonderful nation of “rolling green hills and cuddly sheep”?
