Eastenders trends worldwide on Twitter... here's why (and the hysterical reaction)
THERE’S A GOOD reason why ‘Shirley is Micks’ was trending worldwide last night on Twitter, even though it really makes no sense.
It’s because of Eastenders, innit?
Last night it was revealed that Shirley Carter is Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) mother… he thought all along she was his sister.
Dyer has explained that the news even came as a shock to him, and that Linda Henry, who plays Shirley, knew three months before he did.
The reveal wasn’t even that clear, with Shirley drunkenly sobbing to Phil that she’d “lost her little boy”.
Phil, thinking she was talking about her son Dean, told her to apologise to him which sent her stumbling across the square… into Mick’s arms!
