10 reasons Ed Sheeran should be made an honorary Irishman
ED SHEERAN ANNOUNCED on Tubridy this morning that he would be playing Croke Park on July 24.
It seems like he hasn’t left since 2013, we should just give him an Irish passport at this stage.
1. He’s got a ginger beard
Never-mind the hair, the ginger beard is practically a pre-requisite for males when applying for Irish citizenship.
2. He’s got a classic Irish nanny
And he’s only mad about her.
3. And his mammy, of course
4. He looks well in an Irish jersey
5. And loves a sup of the black stuff
6. And pints. So many pints
He even has a song called Drunk. Let’s call a spade a spade.
7. Not forgetting tea
He even has a tattoo of a cup! His favourite is PG Tips, but we all have our faults.
8. He’s mad about our pubs and clubs
Last year he played the Three Arena, Vicar Street AND Doyles. He chose Whelan’s to play his VH1 Storytellers gig last month.
9. He loves our telly
Mad for LoveHate he is, mad for it. Look at his face when Tubridy gave him a signed DVD.
