The actor, who has long been rumoured to make an appearance in the fantasy series, popped up last night as a soldier leading a singalong at a campfire. (Because if Ed Sheeran signs on to appear on your television show, you’re going to get your money’s worth.)

As for the song Ed Sheeran sings? It’s taken straight from the third book of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series.
After the show, Ed Sheeran shared photos of himself on the set of Game of Thrones and wrote, “Throwback to the time I was a Lannister.”
Headlining Glastonbury, appearing in Game of Thrones – some people get all the luck, eh?
