Ed’s paternal grandparents are Irish, and he’s very in touch with his heritage – he’s covered the traditional classic The Parting Glass, he’s besties with Irish musician Foy Vance and even has a tattoo as Gaeilge.
So it’s no surprise then that he’s into the cream of the Irish TV drama crop, Love/Hate. A fan tweeted him a picture of the box set on Sunday night, to which he responded:
