ELEPHANT AND CASTLE have been picked as Ireland’s best chicken wings.
Chef Adrian Martin, from the new RTÉ Player series Chef Adrian Eats Ireland, put a call out to his followers on social media to vote for their favourite wings.
The Cavan chef samples (and attempts to recreate) the finest wings in the first episode, and the top three are as follows:
- Elephant & Castle in Temple Bar
- Blue Bar in Skerries
- Tribeca in Ranelagh
So, what’s their deal?
The Temple Bar institution has been going for 27 years, and claim to be the home of Ireland’s original basket of chicken wings.
They consistently make the top lists of chicken wings in the city and come HIGHLY recommended on TripAdvisor and Yelp
Colin Farrell used to work in the restaurant, and Eva Longoria even popped in to sample their wares when she was visiting for the 2014 Web Summit.
They serve over 200 kilos of chicken wings a day
That’s a lot of bleedin’ wings. But they look SO good.
The 200 kilos are for us alone, what are you having?
Chef Adrian Eats Ireland is available on RTÉ Player today, where he’ll show you how to make your own version of this Dublin culinary treasure.
