Elephants rescue tiny calf from being pulled away by the current
THE “NO MAN gets left behind” rule also applies to herds of elephants, you know.
While out on safari at a reserve in Kicheche, Kenya, tourists caught sight of a herd of elephants (including a six-month old calf) trying to cross a river at high tide.
The little calf was caught up in the fast-moving currents, and would have gotten swept away were it not for the incredible teamwork of her mother and family – it was pretty dramatic.
Such troopers.
