You can never get enough Emma Stone in your life: She’s fiesty, she’s funny, and she’s seriously gorgeous.
She’s been laying a bit slow since she won her Oscar last year for LA LA Land, so it was majorly exciting to hear that she’s going to have a starring role in Netflix’s latest series – Maniac.
Netflix are being quite secretive about the series, but here’s what we know so far:
Maniac is an American black comedy based on a 2014 Norwegian series and centers around a psychiatric experiment where patients can live inside their own dreams and fantasies. Netflix says it’s “the story of two strangers who find themselves caught up in a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial gone awry”.
The 10-episode series will be directed by Cary Fukunaga, who also was the director for True Detective (Season 1) and Beasts of No Nation.
Emma Stone and Jonah Hill will reunite again after Superbad to play the lead roles.
Supporting characters will be played by Justin Theroux, Julia Garner, Sonoya Mizuno, Jemima Kirke, and Sally Field, which is a stellar line up.
Netflix hasn’t yet announced a release date but it’s expected to be by the end of the year
We feel a Netflix Binge coming up!
