A 'graphic error' caused comical confusion about the Eurosong results last night
SO LAST NIGHT, our Eurovision fate was decided. After a lot of squabbling, judgement and voting, it was time to calculate the final tally by adding up all the votes. But it wasn’t that easy, oh NO.
After taking a ‘jury’ from five counties á la actual Eurovision, it was time for the public vote. Gimme that envelope. OUR NERVES.
One problem, however. The Eurosong scoreboard couldn’t go to three digits, therefore had battling two top songs Eoghan Quigg and Kasey Smith in a draw at 99.
Oh the confusion.
Huh, wha, hu, where?
IT’S A GRAPHIC ERROR.
It was a graphic error.
Here’s the ACTUAL scoreboard. Not even close.
So there you have it, Kasey Smith will be representing us with the song Heartbeat. Woops and hollers etc.
Won’t somebody think of Eoin Quigg? Things aren’t so groovy anymore.
