This little Sligo ice cream shop serves up some of the finest gelato in Ireland

The only place to scoff an ice cream by the sea.

THE SUMMER IS finally arriving, kinda.

It may be lashing and overcast, but at least it’s slightly warmer water.

Therefore, it’s only right we all leg it to the shop for ice cream. Sligo’s hidden taste of Italy is Fabio’s Homemade Italian Ice Cream shop on Wine Street, and it’s the perfect place to get some scoff when the weather is nice.

They do some excellent flavours you won’t get nearby.

Like Kinder Bueno

And this luscious-looking banoffee

Everything is homemade, and they even take requests… owner Fabio is also a legend to behold.

The freshest of all Salted Caramel is only served in Fabio’s

But there’s new flavours every few weeks

Even some notiony ones like mascarpone cheese, caramlised figs, and toasted walnuts

They’ll do pretty much anything

Tourists love it, if these Tripadvisor reviews are anything to go by:

Seriously, we love this little place! Every time we are in Sligo we pop in religiously. Fabio’s gelato is not to be missed. Nothing like regular ice cream. If you haven’t tried , you have to!
Fabio’s I can confidently say they have the best ice cream I tasted in ireland by far.

Jaysus lads, high praise.
