Here's how a lovely family photo lost on a Dublin Bus was successfully returned thanks to Twitter
RollingNews.ie RollingNews.ie
“I WAS ACTUALLY standing downstairs waiting for my stop when I saw it lying on the ground. The thought of it getting trampled and lost forever was terrible, you know?”
Last week, Twitter user @AHoonter was on the 37 Dublin Bus when she came across a lovely old photo of two women.
She immediately thought it was worth keeping

So she went on Twitter with a plea to Dublin Bus:
Even the look of the photo told @AHoonter it was a special memory and that it’s worth the effort to return to its rightful owner, as she tells DailyEdge.ie:
Dublin Bus got on board with the search – sticking posters up in their head office and beyond
Eventually, the original tweet got a response from someone who claimed ownership of the shot – it turned out to be @MaddieFozard’s mam:
Success.
Yesterday, Dublin Bus confirmed that the photo had been safely returned – calling it a “Christmas miracle”
@AHoonter was taken aback that such a long shot actually worked out for everyone involved:
A Christmas miracle indeed.
