BBC RADIO ONE presenter Fearne Cotton’s father-in-law Ronnie Wood (yes, the Rolling Stone) owns a house in Kildare.
So you’d think she’d know better than making that age old ‘Ireland is in the UK gaffe’.
However, writing about travelling in Ireland for Red Magazine, she made a couple of boo boos.
Talking about where she was planning to spend the Easter break:
In the middle of nowhere, just outside Dublin, with friends and family. A UK break is great at Easter because we can jump in my Land Rover and drive there.
Talking about the weather:
Wellies are essential. You never know in the UK…
Red Magazine has responded to the raised eyebrows on Twitter, explaining:
We promise we passed our geography O’Level, but we slipped up this time. Sorry!
Eight hundred years, Red Magazine and Fearne. EIGHT HUNDRED.
