Don't panic, there's a 'development deal' in place for another season of Love/Hate
RTÉ HAVE GIVEN Love/Hate fans a glimmer of hope this morning, by contesting reports that season 5–due to kick off tonight–will be the last in the series.
The Irish Sun claimed that senior sources at RTÉ stated that the show has “come full circle” and writer Stuart Carolan has penned a finale to air at the end of this season. Carolan is currently writing for a US version of the series, and reports of the drama packing it up on RTÉ have been circling since last year.
Say it ain’t so.
Well, don’t panic just yet. A spokesperson for RTÉ told DailyEdge.ie that the show’s production company are negotiating a sixth season.
In addition to this, just last month, The Irish Independent reported that visionary producer of the show Suzanne McAuley said that talks for series six were well under way.
The plot thickens.
