PARLIAMENTARY RESEARCHER CECILIA is not an old-fashioned woman, thank you very much.
The 23-year old featured on this week’s episode of First Dates UK, describing herself as “quite an assertive person”.
On a date, I like to test the boundaries to see whether they are someone ho wants to denigrate me in some way. One of my boyfriends did that and he was gone straight away.”
Sounds fair to me.
She was after someone intelligent, charismatic and passionate, which saw her being matched up with Viv from South London.
Business developer Viv was after someone who was “just as argumentative” as he is. He didn’t get off on the best foot, mind:
I work for a tech start-up – I don’t know if that means anything to you, it can be a lot of jargon for people.”
Fuck off, Viv.
Jokes on him though, ’cause then she made him eat oysters.
After proceeding to grill him on what he’d assume about her if he saw her walking down the street (yikes), Viv admitted he needed someone who wasn’t “as dense as lead”. (Hope his ex wasn’t watching TBH).
I haven’t got on your bad side yet … I say yet, because it will inevitably happen.”
Be careful what you wish for Viv!
The minute the bill came, there was war – Cecelia insisted on paying, but Viv was having none, jokingly telling her to “shut up”.
Cecilia said it was “completely irrational”. Viv told her she was just going to have to get used to him being as stubborn as she is.
After proceeding to hassle the bollix off him over his actions, (and making him go first!) Cecilia admitted that she’d like to see him again, despite the bill debacle.
“Yes I would like to see him again, even if it is just to pay for his dinner.”
How he managed to pull that one off is beyond us.
