IT’S BEEN THE cringe-worthy, hilarious and sometimes lovely big hit of Irish telly in 2016.

And now First Dates Ireland is looking for a brand new crop of participants for the next series.

The production company behind the show COCO Television announced the news on their Facebook page yesterday

And there’s an application form you can fill out if you want to take part. The intro to the form says:

The First Dates Restaurant is throwing open it’s doors in Ireland. If you’re single and genuinely looking for love, fill out the below application and our production team will do their best to find you a match.

The show is halfway through its first series on RTÉ 2 right now – so there’s still three episodes to go in the current run that’s taken over TV on a Thursday night.

Now’s your chance to stake a claim in the restaurant where the main course is awkward conversation

But plenty of the contestants so far have won the public’s heart
