Some of the flags displayed by Irish fans in Lille last night were inspired
IT’S OBVIOUS AT this stage that Lille belonged to one Robbie “Jesus Christ” Brady last night.
But, as ever, the Irish fans were out in force and – they brought along their best flags
We knew who would be up next if the boys did the business
Revenge is on the cards, perhaps.
And in Lille today, there were WB Yeats references to that incident
We had important messages to send home from the stadium
And pun quotas to fill
There were Simpsons flags left over from the Belgium game

The Italian Job was a roaring success.
