a) Flight Of The Conchords were touring.

b) On said tour they would be debuting NEW MATERIAL.
If you’re unfamilar with the lads, allow me to catch you up to speed. Flight Of The Conchords is a musical comedy duo made up of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. The pair’s act became the basis of a TV show of the same name on HBO, and it ran for two seasons.
And it was so GOOD.

Let’s face it – Bret and Jermaine could say anything and I’d probably giggle. That New Zealand twang though.

Every single thing that makes Flight Of The Conchords the best comedy show ever

3. The TV shows within the TV show
‘What Have You Done To My Hat?’ needs to be commissioned in real life, in my opinion.
4. Bret and Jeramine’s non-existent rivalry
ALWAYS trying to get one up on each other, ALWAYS bringing it back to being besties.
They’d be lost without each other <3
5. Mel
Mel is relatable AND gas – who hasn’t gone to outrageous lengths to meet their idols before?
Fun fact – Kirsten Schaal was hired for the role after the lads saw her stand-up.
6. The costumes
From Bowie homages, to robots, the 70s shirts, the pyjamas … I could go on.
7. The relatable money woes
8. The fact that they asked the hard questions
9. … And the fact that they were never shy in delivering piping hot takes
