A man in Florida has been arrested for attempting to kidnap Lana Del Rey

POLICE IN ORLANDO arrested a 43-year-old man near a venue in Orlando where singer Lana Del Rey was set to perform on Friday, the 2nd of February.
The man, Michael Hunt, faces charges of aggravated stalking with a credible threat and attempted kidnapping with a weapon. Orlando police shared a photo of the man on Twitter, and said they had received tips about comments the man had been writing on Facebook.
Hunt has 61 prior convictions relating to drugs and violent behaviour. He served five separate sentences for different offences including forgery, burglarly and fleeing and eluding.
Before he left for the concert, Hunt posted on Facebook:
In the days before Hunt posted that status, he had been sharing photographs of the singer with captions like “I love you so much, I’ve missed you for so long” as well as writing “I’m giving up everything to follow my dream.”

In a 17-minute-long video on Facebook, Hunt said “I’m going to probably finish out her tour with her, obviously, and dance and talk and figure out what we’re going to do.”
A statement from Orlando Police Dept. read:
Lana Del Rey commented on the situation on Twitter last night, writing “Hey kiddos. I’m doing fine. Thanks for the messages.”
