The bloke who stole Frances McDormand's Oscar streamed it on Facebook
IF THERE’S ONE thing you don’t do after stealing an A-lister’s Academy Award on the biggest night of the year in Hollywood, it’s stream the ill-advised decision on Facebook.
Unfortunately, Terry Bryant didn’t get that particular memo.
The 47-year-old, who shared footage of himself attempting to pass off Frances McDormand’s Oscar statue as his own, has been arrested for felony theft.

In a video which is no longer available on Facebook, Terry can be seen clutching the award at the Governor’s Ball and telling onlookers: “My team got this tonight.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a photographer, who was in attendance, was of the opinion Bryant was acting strangely and ultimately contacted security.
Frances, who won the award for her portrayal of Mildred Hayes in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, had brought the award to numerous after-parties and was visibly upset when she realised it was missing.
Bryant, who told other attendees he secured the Oscar ‘for music’, was taken into custody by the LAPD Hollywood division soon after filming his ‘celebrations’.
The hapless thief remains in police custody on $20,000 bail.
