A French policeman tried to get Irish fans to go home by singing his own chant at them

FOR THE LAST week, Irish fans have been roaming around France singing, “Stand up for the boys in green” to anyone who will listen.
Last night, a group of fans gathered under a bridge in Bordeaux to shelter from the rain and commenced singing as French police officers looked on. Their chant?

The French police tried their best to get them to go home…

But then Irish fans just started singing Shane Long Is On Fire ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Until eventually, French police decided, “Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” and started singing their own song
