SO, SNAPCHAT HAS turned down an offer of $3 billion from Facebook.

You might wonder why they didn’t take the money and run, but the truth is that Snapchat has the potential to be worth so much more than that.

Snapchat is an app that enables you to send self-destructing photos or videos to friends.

The temporary nature of the medium ensures that people send some pretty risky and/or absolutely hilarious stuff.

If you’re among the 11 per cent of Irish people who have already downloaded it, you probably don’t need much convincing of Snapchat’s worth.
