People are rewatching George Michael's brilliant appearance on the first ever Carpool Karaoke
PA PA
THE TRAGIC NEWS came through late last night that pop legend George Michael had passed away at the age of 53.
Tributes have been flowing overnight, and – aside from his musical legacy – loads of people have been reliving one absolutely brilliant telly moment.
George appeared on a Comic Relief sketch back in 2011 with James Corden… in a prototype of what would become the world famous Carpool Karaoke.
And it was joyous
The presenter tweeted a tribute to his late friend last night
Back in June, Corden spoke to Howard Stern about George’s appearance on that sketch – and how it led to the Carpool Karaoke idea:
People have been rewatching it with a sense of sadness this morning
“Witty, self-deprecating, superstar”
RIP.
