Here's the emotional preview for Glee's Cory Monteith farewell episode
WITH THE LOSS of Cory Monteith in July, Glee executives have been faced with the task of dealing with it in the show’s storyline.
The promo for the farewell, entitled ‘The Quarterback’, aired for the first time last night after the hit show’s latest episode.
The episode will be broadcast in the states next Thursday and will see the cast mourning the death of Monteith, and subsequently, his character Finn Hudson.
The short promo shows Monteith’s girlfriend Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, singing an emotional rendition of ‘Make You Feel My Love’, while Finn’s classmates pay tribute to the character by his locker.
As reported by Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Murphy said that the episode was “incredibly hard to work on and very difficult to shoot”, and that everything that was shot was “what really happened”.
Murphy went on to say that it wasn’t just the cast that were affected by the storyline:
Former cast members also got in contact with Murphy to appear in the episode, despite not being under contract to do so.
