Echoing the Perfect Day cover 17 years ago, which raised millions for Children in Need, this star-studded version of God Only Knows is aiming to do the same.
Chris Martin, Stevie Wonder, Florence Welch, Pharrell Williams and One Direction are among those who’ve loaned their voices to one line of the song. The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson is also heavily involved.

THE BBC HAS done a brave thing.
It has released a cover version of the Beach Boys’ classic tune God Only Knows.
