The Guardian made a hames of Ireland on its Brexit front page this morning

The missing piece of the puzzle.

SO, TODAY’S THE day.

Theresa May signed the historic letter to launch Brexit last night, which will be delivered to the EU in Brussels today.

This morning, The Guardian is winning some serious praise for its clever jigsaw front page that sums up the situation pretty well:

But there’s only one small problem: they’ve taken a hefty chunk of Ireland out of the jigsaw, and a little bit of France too

chunk The Guardian The Guardian

Ah lads, you can’t be taking Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan, Dundalk and even a bit of Wicklow with you on this jaunt out of the EU.

While it looks like a section of south Co Down won’t be on the move at all.

Irish people, of course, were quick to notice this mistake late last night

Obviously a bit of artistic licence went into the map, so many people took it as a good natured mistake

But it even had Donegal TDs up in arms

Hard to know if The Guardian has such powers, in fairness.

We’ll negotiate for the safe return of Dundalk

H’on the town.

A promising start to a seismic day ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
