The Open Gate Brewery at St. James’s Gate launched today, located in that secret little door beside the main gate on James’s Street.
The experimental brewery has been open to brewers to explore new recipes and bring new ones to life for over 100 years. Now, they’re opening the gates so you can get a look at what goes on inside, all in the surroundings of a cool industrial-feel bar.
The usual draught Guinness will be available, as well as Hop House 13 Lager, Dublin Porter, West Indies Porter, and a range of small batch experimental beers.
Speaking at the launch, Diageo’s global head of beer Mark Sandys said that many beers which have not been available to date in Ireland such as (Guinness Nitro IPA), will now also be exclusively available in the bar.
The brewery is open on Thursdays and Fridays for bookings between 5.30pm and 10.30pm, and visitors will get a chance to sample the beers and speak with the brewers about the origins of each.
Here’s why Guinness farts smell so damn horrible>
Is this the best Irish pub in the world?>
