The challenge means that the actress will be able to purchase just $29 worth of groceries for the week, which is the total value of food stamps the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) gives to families each week.
The whole thing is part of a campaign to implore Congress not to make any further cuts to the programme.
So yesterday, Paltrow posted a photo of her groceries for the week and it didn’t really sit right with people.
