'Help I'm Stuck' Pic of the Day
A YOUNG RACOON which became stuck in a sewer grate in suburban Detroit was lucky to be rescued by a quick-thinking city worker earlier this week, The Detroit Free Press reports. Bill Zimmer, director of the Dearborn Heights Department of Public Works in Detroit, spotted the trapped animal from his front garden on Wednesday.
Calling his colleagues for help, Zimmer and his crew used vegetable oil and soap to help the raccoon slip out of the grate. The AP reports that the animal was uninjured despite its ordeal and was released into the woods (after being cleaned of the soap and oil).
