Hulk Hogan is starting a new web hosting service called Hostamania

No no, that’s exactly what you read.

SO THIS IS a thing that is actually happening. Wrestler and reality television star Hulk Hogan is getting into web services.

In a completely logical career move, Hulk–real name Terry Gene Bollea–has got the web hosting industry in his sights and he’s not messing around.

Hogan describes his latest venture on his blog:

Overpriced hosts with unreliable service: I’m coming for you! My tech geeks are working non-stop to get my brand new servers Hulk’ed up. I’m not letting them cut any corners – I didn’t get to be the world champion by not being the biggest and the best! Keep spreading the word about Hostamania, my little Hulkamaniacs – and don’t forget to train, say your prayers, and take your vitamins! HH

Solid advice. You’d be forgiven for assuming it was a joke.

But it’s not a joke. Does this face look like it’s joking?

Just to clear up any confusion, the Hulk wrote:

Some of you might think that I’m not really planning to take over the web hosting industry. Wrong – I’m as serious as a heart attack, brother. I’m coming for you, silly hosting spokesmen – I’ve got your precious flute, and if you want it back, you’re going to have to meet me in the ring! HH

In a further attempt to get people to take him seriously as an internet entrepreneur, he made a ‘parody’ video of Miley’s wrecking ball swing to promote his new service.

Warning: thong incoming.

Right so.

Hostamania isn’t open for business yet, but you can sign up to be a beta tester.

Let’s hope the venture does a lot better than his attempt at becoming a restaurateur, as his eatery Pastamania was closed after just a year after it opened in 1995.

We’ll never get to taste ‘hulkaroos’…
