A dessert stall in Dublin is doing amazing things with ice cream

Thai style.

ORIGINALLY, HANDROLLED ICE cream started out in Thailand and rapidly spread to the US and beyond.

Basically how it works is that the ice cream is thrown down onto a cold grill at minus 30 degrees and laid out until it can be scraped off in rolls – giving it its very distinctive look.

And this summer it landed in Dublin.

Arctic Stone is an ice cream stall based mostly in Dun Laoghaire’s People’s Park – and the toppings added look delish

Here’s a video of it being made

It looks absolutely phenomenal

And they add  loads of toppings too – and they make nearly everything from scratch

Handrolled ice cream is now a glorious reality in Ireland <3
