Here's a full list of IFTA nominees, as the bid to forget last year's 'embarrassing' ceremony begins

The first ceremony’s on 24 May.

THE NOMINEES FOR the first of this years IFTA ceremonies are out, following intense speculation about whether or not the awards would make it onto our tellies at all this year.

Frank and Patrick’s Day lead the film nods with nine apiece, while Love/Hate and Vikings  lead the drama nominations with seven each.

Last year’s ceremony was overshadowed by criticism of the televised event, and there were doubts that it would go ahead in 2015.

However, TV3 took over the broadcasting duties from RTÉ and the awards will now be split in two, with a Film and Drama ceremony taking place on 24 May, and a separate TV awards going out in October. TV3 will broadcast highlights of each even.

Here are this year’s Film and Drama nominations
