Ice Bucket Challenge fund reaches €1 million mark in Ireland
THE ICE BUCKET Challenge has officially hit the one million euro mark for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The association celebrated the good news by sharing this heartwarming image of staff celebrating at their HQ:
One million euro represents more than half of the IMNDA’s fundraising efforts for last year. The majority of the money (69 per cent) raised in 2013 went towards services with around 11 per cent allocated for dedicated nursing services. A further 11 per cent goes to fundraising.
And the Ice Bucket Challenges just keep on coming. Homer Simpson’s done one, these Irish lads have done a truly chilling one, and some people have just gone too far.
Still though, it’s for a great cause. One million euro (and counting) worth of a great cause.
