Ireland have failed to qualify for the Eurovision finals for the fourth year in a row
BRENDAN MURRAY TOOK to the stage in Kiev tonight to perform Dying To Try as part of the second Eurovision semi-final.
The entire country had their fingers and toes crossed for the former Hometown star, but sadly a place in the final wasn’t to be with Ireland failing to make the cut.
*mutters something about countries just voting for their neighbours*

This is the fourth year in a row that Ireland have failed to qualify for the Eurovision finals.
Bulgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Norway, The Netherlands and Austria all qualified for Saturday’s final. Macedonia, Estonia, Lithuania, Malta, San Marino, Switzerland and Serbia all join Ireland in the rejects pile.
Brendan acquitted himself well and his performance was warmly received by many…
Including the nation of Lithuania.
Ah thanks, Lithuania!
Although that key change came in for a bit of slagging…
This Finnish commentator was particularly cutting
While others pined for the days of Jedward…
Whoops!
