Is this the most alarming Irish weather image ever?

So much doom!

THIS MORNING THIS weather map is striking fear into the hearts of those on the west coast of the country.

It appeared on the front page of the Irish Independent today and has also been shared on Twitter, with accompanying tweets exhibiting variations on “oh cripes”:

Met Eireann has warned that gusts could reach 100 to 130 kilometres per hour today and later tonight. Donegal, Sligo, Galway, Leitrim and Clare have all experienced high winds and power faults.
