The @Ireland Twitter account had a big night last night
WE’VE ALL BEEN there. You go out for the night, have a few beverages and your emotions come to the surface. You send a few questionable tweets, but it’s not a big deal because most of your few hundred followers weren’t even awake.
Unfortunately, when you are tweeting on behalf of a country, things are a little different, as Julian Reischl learned yesterday.
He is tweeting for the @ireland Twitter account this week, which means that 17,000 people saw his tweets as he spent the day at Oktoberfest.
Hold on to your horses, and prepare to feel some serious solidarity.
Things started out well with some fun facts about Lederhosen
Seven hours later, it was clear that he managed to get a drink, anyway
His followers had lots of good advice
So how was he this morning? At first, fine
Then, the moment of horror
He needn’t have worried though
And so, he moved on!
Fair play to you Julian! We’ve been there, and I daresay it’s a lesson learned.
