Here's how Irish people saw the future in 1989
LOOKING BACK AT what we thought might happen in the future is always amusing.
Flying cars, colonies on Mars and self-lacing runners are just some of things we thought might have popped up at this stage.
The people of Ireland had very different expectations in 1989 though, as this video uploaded to YouTube by killianm2 and shared on Reddit by Dhera shows.
With the government of the time promising nothing short of prosperity in 1992, Uncle Gaybo and the gang from The Late Late Show headed down to ask the people of Cork what the year meant to them.
The results were varied, but rather amusing.
And some weren’t long getting straight to the point.
