HUMANS OF DUBLIN has been everywhere since its book came out at the end of last year – with a podcast, website and exhibitions ongoing.
But it’s the Facebook page where it all began, and last night they shared an epic piece of advice from a 92-year-old they met on the streets of the capital:
It was short and it was sweet – but most of all it was inspiring:
My motto in life is ‘Keep doing anything you are able to do!’ It may sound simple, but let me put it in other words. It came back to me recently because somebody saw me putting on my socks standing up after swimming in the sea. The person was worried that I’d fall. You see, I’m 92 years of age, and I always put them on that way. I’m not planning to change it while I can do it. You can’t give up on yourself before life does!
“I’m not planning to change it while I can do it.” <3
Overnight, the story has been liked nearly 3000 times and all the comments agree on one thing: the man and his outlook on life is to be applauded.
Legend.
