EUROVISION HEROES JEDWARD found themselves at the centre of a dramatic sea rescue early on Wednesday morning.

According to the Irish Sun, John and Edward were walking along the coast at Donabate when they became stranded on a sandbank near Malahide.

The pair contacted their mother, Susanna, who raised the alarm and a helicopter was sent out to locate the twins.

They were finally rescued at 1am on Wednesday morning by a ten-strong coastguard team.

John told the Irish Sun:

What we want to get across is how quickly this all happened… This could have been a tragedy but for the good work of the coastguard.

The coastguard said that the rescue helicopter was mobilised but they found the twins were in “no immediate danger”.

Looks like they got too close to the Waterline, eh? (Sorry.)
