EVERY YEAR, US talk show host Jimmy Kimmel asks parents around the world to perform the cruellest act of all on their children.

Yes, he asks mums and dads to tell their kids they ate all their Halloween candy. And then put their young ones’ reactions on YouTube.

Here is his compilation of this year’s best reactions. Our sympathies are with the kid who just says “I hate you.”
