In July Rowling released a short story about the adult Harry Potter, marking the first time she’d written about the characters as grown-ups since the Deathly Hallows epilogue.

This time, the story will focus on the villainous Dolores Umbridge, who ruled over Hogwarts with an iron fist in the fifth book of the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The short story will take us through Umbridge’s life, with Rowling revealing her personal thoughts on the character.

She explained her decision to focus on Umbridge on Pottermore.com today:

Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry.

Sounds good enough for us. Hurry up, October 31!
