A BBC presenter just made a very rude blunder live at Cheltenham
LIVE BROADCASTING CAN be very difficult because you don’t have the comfort of being able to redo anything. If you say something stupid live on-air, there are no take-backs.
Even the most accomplished media personalities can slip up, as BBC sport anchor John Inverdale found out today. Inverdale was a part of BBC 5 Live’s Cheltenham coverage and made a very, very profane error.
We aren’t quite sure how he went from rose-tinted glasses to this…
Inverdale has since apologised and he will probably be secretly relieved that one of his BBC colleagues has gotten into even more trouble this afternoon.
Still, ‘rose-c***ed’ glasses is only the second most objectionable broadcasting incident involving Inverdale in the last few weeks.
