ST PATRICK’S HILL in Cork today was taken over by the Red Bull soapbox race – with the course outline set out by bales of hay – and everyone was in the mood to watch some racing and have the craic.
There were many teams that entered some good quality gag soapboxes for the race – but one stood out among them all.
And that was the five lads from Wexford who built a jumbo breakfast roll soapbox
And look at it racing down the hill this afternoon – bits of bacon falling everywhere

And it turned out, after all was said and done, that they won the competition
The fastest down the hill.
There were other quality soapboxes too – like this burrito
They all risked life and limb to fire themselves down that hill today
