Kanye West's fashion show was called a 'hot mess' after models fainted and fell on the runway

Yikes, Yeezy.

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, KANYE West debuted his latest collection for Adidas as part of New York Fashion Week… and let’s just say it didn’t go swimmingly.

The highly anticipated Yeezy Season 4 collection was presented on Roosevelt Island in New York and streamed live on Tidal. (Oh, Tidal.)

But this wasn’t your standard catwalk show.

This is Kanye West we’re talking about. Do you really think he’d just send models down a runway? No way. Instead he collaborated with performance artist Vanessa Beecroft to present an art piece featuring models standing around in a formation.

Like so.

This lasted for hours.

And eventually models started passing out.

Standing around in the sweltering heat with no water will do that to you.

After a while, they finally said, “F**k this” and got some water for themselves.

After a slight (read: significant) delay, the assembled crowd were treated to a catwalk show

Featuring the likes of Teyana Taylor, Chanel Iman and Nicole Richie’s little sister Sofia Richie.

But even that was plagued with embarrassing moments.

Like when model Amina Blue just straight up took her shoes off on the runway

Or when this poor model struggled mightily with her heels

And while Kim, Kendall, Kylie et al all seemed to love it…

…the fashion critics weren’t so kind.

Women’s Wear Daily didn’t mince their words comparing the experience of watching Kanye’s fashion shows to “an abusive relationship” — tad dramatic, lads? — and USA Today called it a “hot mess”.

See you all in plastic knee-high boots this winter, eh?
