IS THERE ANYTHING that Detective Garda Kieran O’Reilly can’t do? He’s a serving member of the Garda Drugs Unit, an actor in RTE’s number one drama series, and now, it’s been revealed that he’s a talented musician too.
The Cavan born garda, who plays Detective Ciaran Madden in Love/Hate, is the front man of alternative rock band, White McKenzie.
They released an EP last year called ‘Absence’ and filmed a music video for their track 4am around Dublin last year.
Not only that, but they’ve even played a few live gigs around the city and were described by Ian Dempsey as “really top quality”. So now.
Where does he find the time?
It was revealed earlier in the week that O’Reilly’s appearance in the gangland drama is currently under investigation by a senior officer, with Commissioner Callinan stating that there are “issues to be addressed” surrounding a serving member appearing on the show.
